Q. What airlines fly into Costa Rica and where do they fly to?

A. LACSA is the national airlines and flies from major US cities to the Capital (San Jose). AA, Continental, and Delta also service San Jose. Delta provides daily flights into Liberia, the closest International Airport to Tamarindo.

Q. What is the local currency?

A. The Colones is the local currancy. The rates vary, but are about 425 per dollar at this time. Credit cards and traveler checks are readily accepted. Banks will provide advances on major credit card and ATM machines are available in larger cities.

Q. What documents do I need?

A. US and Canadian citizens need only a valid passport. They then receive a 90 day tourist visa.

Q. What is the crime rate?

Q. Are there any health issues?
